The cost of everything is going up -- it's called inflation. It's what necessarily happens when the government prints money that has nothing backing it up. Obama's intentional strategies to raise gas prices to force Americans to turn to electric cars aren't helping, of course.

Diesel prices here haven't moved much compared to gasoline. Gas is up $0.50 per gallon since the first of the year, but diesel hasn't moved more than $0.10.

Ummm...I guess you haven't read the posts I been postin'. For months and years.
Yeah, YOU FINALLY NOTICED. ABC...let's not even mention anything about this is NOT NEWS.
Etc.
The truckers can say what they want. They just pass these costs on to the people that get the deliveries daily. Like grocery stores, and what not.

Why is diesel more than gas when it's cheaper to make?

So the price of everything will go up, but our paychecks won't. Oh wait, unless you're already a millionaire.

DrLyon has a common sense solution:
"Stop shipping diesel out of the country... Help the economy here..."
That's true of our refined crude, too! Big Oil COULD choose to keep it here for use by American consumers -- But instead, they choose to EXPORT FOR HIGHER PROFITS. GREED WINS AGAIN!

All we have to do to get prices to fall is to start drilling in earnest again, but that will probably have to wait until 2017 when Obama is gone.

We will all feel the pain of higher diesel prices in the products we buy because of the trucks that transport them.

I heard a noise when I was walking past my bathroom. When I stopped and investigated the odd noise I soon was able to find the cause. It was the American economy down my toilet going down the drain. I was unhappy finding that.

Absolute BS. It costs less to refine diesel than gasoline, why is the price higher other than the EXTRA TAXES tacked on?

Rising diesel prices will cause inflation in the US economy as most products are shipped by truck or train (both of which use diesel).
