Those who rely on diesel fuel -- including truckers and farmers -- are seeing an even greater jump in price. According to the latest fuel gauge report by AAA, Fresno residents are paying an average of $4.23 for a gallon of diesel. That's a 42 cent jump from the same time last year.

Rising diesel prices will cause inflation in the US economy as most products are shipped by truck or train (both of which use diesel).

Diesel used to be the same as reg gas or .20 cents below. Higher fuel prices will severely hurt any recovery.

Diesel prices are not rising in my area. Today we bought diesel fuel for $3.79/gallon. Diesel is sometimes cheaper than premium.

This doesn't just affect farmers. Everything that is shipped by truck... which is just about everything will be affected. So figure EVERYTHING you buy will cost a LOT more. Around here, diesel is only a few cents higher than gas.

Probably many people will not take driving vacations or shorter destinations. Also we will look for alternatives to the food with increasing prices.

The trucking company charges more to deliver the goods to the store and we pay more to the store after they up the price 2 to 3 times of what they should. So what happen in a round about system are we the American pays for all of the campaign money for each person running for office. This is the whole thing in a nut shell. This is what it is all about screw the American taxpayer to get a job.

The farmers and truckers have no choice as the have to use their equiment to make a living, other people have a choice to drive less by only driveng the minimum by car pooling and making fewer shopping trips
