Rising diesel prices will cause inflation in the US economy as most products are shipped by truck or train (both of which use diesel).

good article, gas prices affect the consumer directly but diesel prices affect the price of most goods shipped by truck, train or boat

Diesel used to be the same as reg gas or .20 cents below. Higher fuel prices will severely hurt any recovery.

Diesel prices are not rising in my area. Today we bought diesel fuel for $3.79/gallon. Diesel is sometimes cheaper than premium.

This doesn't just affect farmers. Everything that is shipped by truck... which is just about everything will be affected. So figure EVERYTHING you buy will cost a LOT more. Around here, diesel is only a few cents higher than gas.

Probably many people will not take driving vacations or shorter destinations. Also we will look for alternatives to the food with increasing prices.

The trucking company charges more to deliver the goods to the store and we pay more to the store after they up the price 2 to 3 times of what they should. So what happen in a round about system are we the American pays for all of the campaign money for each person running for office. This is the whole thing in a nut shell. This is what it is all about screw the American taxpayer to get a job.

Diesel is becoming more popular, time to start designing refinery's to crack more diesel out of the oil they refine.
