The good news is that, according to the Obama administration, the rich will pay for everything. The bad news is that, according to the Obama administration, you're rich. P. J. O'Rourke

. This is what happens when out of control Dumbocrats are in office! Instead of cutting needless programs and balancing the State Budget, the idiot wants to raise a tax on everybody that will NEVER go away. In fact, the moron plans a steady year after year increase!

Stop spending money you don't have or maybe spending the tax on what you collected it for and you wouldn't need to increase taxes. Typical politicians.

That's the problem with the liberal progressive policy, tax 'em for this but spend it for that. There is no legitimate need for fuel tax increases, if used correctly with bidding oversight and for the intended purpose of road and bridge infrastructure instead of diverting to other Big Government Greed projects, there would be plenty in the coffers.

A state's taxes should stay in that state, not be divided amongst the others.

Redirection of transportation/infrastructure funds to general funds happens in too many states and at the federal level. Specifically for the reason pointed out in this article--to plug up deficits--but also to fund other programs.
Yet, progressive politicians (both parties) have the gall to ask for more, not even caring that tax payers are aware of the slight-of-hand schemes. Then they wonder why we don't trust them and why we fight tax increases.
